The constellation of Aquarius is one of the 12 constellations of the Zodiac and is located in the Southern Hemisphere, its name means "the water carrier" or "carrier of the cup" in Latin, it represents water and its symbolism is represented by ♒. Aquarius is located in the region of the sky also known as the Sea.

Aquarius occupies an area of ​​980 square degrees and is the 10th largest constellation found in the sky. It is located in the fourth quadrant of the southern hemisphere (SQ4), it has latitudes between + 65º and -90º. Around it has Cetus, Delphinus, Capricornus, Aquila, Pegasus, Pisces, Equuleus, Piscis Austrinus and Sculptor. This constellation was discovered by the Greek astronomer Ptolemy in the 2nd century.
The constellation of Aquarius has a super giant and famous star called Sadalsuud (Beta aquarii) with several notable objects from the deep sky; such as: Asterism Messier 73, globular clusters Messier 2 and Messier 72, the Dwarf Aquarius Galaxy, two nebula wells: the Saturn Nebula and the Helix Nebula.
